so we can have anything a game can have but more lives option? There is nothing more rewarding then picking up a new life in game, and fpsc has start maker, health pickups and even a check point but no option for extra lives.I dont understand this as its real simple to incorperate with in darkbasic pro? Why has this not been added to any update?

Noone uses lives anymore? Most just set it it to an infinite amount...

The lives system was something that died with the downfall of the Arcade machine...

no its not! I have 2 games here right now that use extra lives. there are many games right now that uses extra lives. this is a must for my game anyway, i just find it odd on how easy it is to incorperate and has never been done in any of the updates. whethere it is in or out or the now times does not matter, my game needs it and i find it funny that its been years in develiment and does not have this provided is all.

Project Green\Blue are the only mods that allows you to add lives through Ply's variable system. You can't do with vanilla FPSC or any other mod that I can think of.

When Hockeykid gets around to merging Fenix and Project Green, then Fenix mod will have the ability.

Your signature has been erased by a mod please reduce it to 600 x 120.

Yes, it's great the mods could do it. It would be nice if the vanilla FPSC could do it as well or had that feature. We have the markers, checkpoints, health, etc. Extra life would be a nice addition.

All im saying is it would be a nice feture to have and for me a nessesery one. I am shure other mods have it or mabey I could do it myself but It would be another thing for me to do and every little thing i need to do to build a game with this slows down my building. if a mod can do it why cant the reagular fpsc, this is for people to build games, we are the game builders. its up to us to ask for thease things so we can buold our games as we see fit.

I agree with you Daniel. It is nice that PB can support this with variables. However, it would be nice if it was available without mods. I'd like to see a feature like this without the use of a mod.

well, this is a email i recived from lee bamer, he was responding to a email i sent him.

Adding the code for this is not hard to do. Would be nice if it was included for those NOT using a mod.

Actually you can easily do this in Project Blue using its variable system. You can tie the commands(add var,sub var,set var etc) to the health variable .

yea, well im not using any mods, why should i have to? I wish there was a way to script it in using the default fpsc. if there is a way let me know guys, my game depends on it.

I'm not aware of a method in a script without using variables or such from mods as HockeyKid pointed out. I'm afraid we're stuck using a mod for this item unless it gets added as a default to FPSC.

I might just add this feture myself with in my own mod, the only 2 things that will be changed is frame rate and a extra life feture. of corse you will need to script in the extra life as i dont have the source to the editor but at least it will be just like this newest upgrade with a few more options.

Nod. I was thinking the same thing. Create a mod to provide the features needed for that particular game. Then create a script to accompany that task.
