Ok, first, give people the time to come and look at your model and then think of critique, they will come eventualy ( within a day ). As for my own critique:

1. I don't know how long you have been modeling, but the grip could be a little more detailed. So does the hand protecting thing.

2. I don't know if its the angle the render was taken, but is seams as if the blade is kinda fat, maybe make it a bit thiner.

3. For the normal, I don't think it is necesary unless you plan to add scratches in the metal etc.

So that was it and good luck with your next model.

I have no idea it's a ten sided cylinder so I extruded like four times, don't know, but I guess it's good that it looks high poly when it's not
