I used the MOD on a previously built level (Caper City) that I have put on hold because of size and speed issues. There are places in the level where the FPS would fall to single digits with vanilla FPSC. I wanted to see how much the MOD would improve that issue.
With your MOD installed, the level begins with 60FPS which is good, but it's
too fast. The player seems to be running when walking. I could live with that.
The FPS did not get much below 26 in the areas that had problems before, but at 26FPS the MOD was obviously straining. It said 26, but felt much worse in the game, more like half of that. At 26, it should be nearly smooth but wasn't at all. I don't know the source so I have to ask. Did you enhance any code to make the frame rate better, or did you lift the cap? I have used other MODs and found the frame rate was improved "across the board" without just speeding up the player.
I also don't understand your third item in the MOD description.
Quote: "3.build hugh levals."
If this is a MOD that is dropped into a built game, how does it "build huge levels" or am I missing something?
I haven't tried the "extra life" thing. I was mainly concerned with the FPS increase to see if it would help my ailing game. Thanks for the test.
Brian.
