I don't think anyone has posted about this screen recorder before. Apologies if they have.

Anyway, I've always found that fraps slows down my system while recording. I bought a magazine the other day and they had advert for PlayClaw. It's a screen recorder that can take advantage of unused cores on your cpu.

I have used it a couple of times, and have purchased the full version. For me it works so much better than any other screen recorder I have used. I'm not sure it would be better if you don't have a multicore cpu, though.

Thank you for the link! I did not know about that software.

I am a registered Fraps user and have always found it an excellent choice. My pc is fast enough to capture full screen video and sound fluently. On the other hand I have seen a lot of videos on this forum that had lousy frame rate and often with no sounds at all. Hopefully this screen recorder software can help on this particular problem.

One thing that I have found helps on video quality is also using a timer based mod like Project Blue simply because that will make the frame rate seem smooth.
