Hey guys, hoping somebody with more experience can help me out here..Basically, I've imported a model from GTA Vice City into 3D Max, and it's textured in max. But when i export it to .x and put it into DBP, The model shows up plain white..

Any ideas?

Cheers - Tom

for 1, you shouldn't be ripping models from commercial games, there is a little thing called copyright

2, even though you shouldn't be doing it, it may be white because the texture isn't there, i'd recommend making your own models, you have 3Ds max, at least use something that cost 1000's of dollars to buy, its a waist otherwise

Put the texture in the same folder as the model ->
"Texture object 1, 1" Sort of thing?

Ok Matt..You make a fair point, However, Don't make me out to be some newbie who knows nothing about copyright lol ^^ i don't like that. Also I do alot of modding on Grand theft auto..making my own maps etc. I don't rip it, i have tools to open the files and models, and also..so long i don't give it to anybody (Keep it a private project) then that is fine.

The object has multiple textures on it, and shows up fine in max when i click Views > Activate all maps..But when i export to the same folder as the textures, and import it to DBP..Nothing.

Yeh Mazz sorry..I do make my own models, but i'm just curious as to what my old time favourite game will look like in another engine..so it's a private project..

Here's some of my own stuff...
