How do I set bounciness (The amount of bounce) for a rigid body object?

phy make material 1,"b"
phy set material restitution 1,0
phy build material 1
phy make rigid body dynamic sphere 1,b

when I apply this to my object it stays exactly the same.

look in the demo's show all the material or look in the material thread at the top I've post all that were in the demos, oplus there a little testing program code to see what it material does to an object.
