I was wondering how to make a wall that does not take any bullet holes, because it is designed to be invisible to stop players accessing parts of the map that they should not be able to.

I think you just need to change it's material index in the .fps file for the segment. I don't know the value to change it to though

There really is no other way to do this then to get a mod or get rid of a default material, but would the player really care if he shot a wall and there way a hole?

It's supposed to be an invisable wall...

So yes. It would.

Yeah, you'd need a mod...I don't think this is possible with stock FPSC. Look at Project Blue or Ply's Mod.

it was the best song in the world..."

I just bought Project Blue, and I'm getting to learn some of the new features it brings to my game. How would this help me?

An invisible wall is just a black entity with it's property
Transparency set to 1
You can make one with 'signs' program or just go on to fpsfree and download the 'invisible wall' entity by xplosys for free.
There used to be one on there called 'barrier' with a few nice force field decals and an invisible wall.
hope this helps.

I have already made one. It's just that I can shoot it and it appears with bulletholes within it.

Why not build a wall about 1/4 of the size of a full wall
and make it invisable then you can't walk past it and bullets
will just go through.

You could make it just the exact size of a normal wall, but with just 2 box's on top and bottom that are like super small and set collision to box.

If it's an invicible wall, make it transparent and all your problems are solved!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things that I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
