Yes, I am running windows 7 currently. Works really well. Windows 7 takes more advantage of multible core processing and multiple GPU's. Seeing as you had a lot of problems with vista, I suggest you just wipe your computer completely and re-install with windows 7. Make sure you let is update everything or you may have problems. Post any problems you have in here instead of making a new thread and I will help you out as much as I can.

Hey, no you do not need the disc in the drive when you update your computer. Simply go to Start > control panel (which is located on the right hand side) > System and security > windows updates > and click update. That will download and install updates automaticlly for you, so you have go get a drink and watch some TV while it updates. When done it will ask to restart. Restart your computer and you are done

W7 and X10 works fine for me, exept I do get a lot of lag that I didn't get in vista, but I reckon this is caused by a program I may be running

Windows 7, Amd Athlon 7750 Black Editon (64 bit,3ghz + Dual Core), ATI Readon HD 4870 1gb Edition, 4gb Ram.

Hmm odd, windows 7 was designed to take advantage of better GPU's and CPU's. Are your 4870 drivers up to date? also do you update windows 7? as for the processes yea that may be a reason. Just give it a quick glance.

Try updating windows fully, they released a bunch of updates for compatibility recently.
