Hey, TGC, I'm currently making a 2d, cross platform library with SDL(for rendering, input, etc...), and Lua(for scripting).
Basically, I'm writing a wrapper at the moment, which will be come the backbone for a cross platform game engine.
I'd post a video of what its capable of but I don't have a camera so I'll post some screen shots, before and after changing different lines of code.

screen1.bmp showcases creating entities, and drawing/accessing them via an index number

screen2.bmp
Next, I position the entity to 100, 100.

screen3.bmp
Then... despite my code still being there( "NeEntitySetX( 1, 100 );" ), its being called before The RunLua command... and thus the entity is being position to 0,0 because my lua script is setting it there.

Hopefully that made sense. And if it didn't, basically in a nutshell,
1) SDL, and Lua functions are functional.
2) you can create entities( players, maps, items, etc... ) by and index number and image
3) you can access Entities by an Index number
4) you can gather input although this isn't demostrated
5) you can register you own functios to lua
6) as you can see in the screenshots, the user has nothing to worry abot other than including the header, calling the StartApp() and EndApp()

Please post feedback... things you think are cool... things that should be added... etc.
THanks
