Dark GDK / HTTP Load Image

I have an Image from my website that I want to load with dbLoadImage(). How would I do this? This is what I have so far:

Probably the best way t go about this would be to GET the image using the GDK FTP functons (possibly into the temp folder?), and then load it from the hard drive.
