This is a prelude to a bigger project; a sort of Dark Basic Project Manager program that will assist with the development of games or whatnot in DBPro. The first thing I realized I needed was to be able to have some file management. While this little program does very little to actually manage files, it does show limited functionality to interact with files in a 3D environment.

Features:
1) Navigate around the current folder using WASD controls
2) View files and folders ("auto-zoom" when mouse is over object)
3) Open and "enter" folders, or use the ".." folder to go up a level (left mouse click)
4) Open files from the browser (left mouse click)

That's about it. There are no plans to improve on this directly, but to incorporate the learning from this little program into other projects. In the meantime, it is fun little distraction. Enjoy.

That reminds me of the "Cooliris" plugin for Firefox. ^^

I will admit to inspiration from Cooliris. The actual file manager for the project manager will likely be more of a desktop environment. Although, I will be working through an intuitive interface from function to define form.

Hah, agreed Nex, delete your files with a rocket launcher! Move files around with a tractor beam... ok Im out of ideas.

Sounds like you have something neat in the works Ridii. A DBP file manager that allows you to view models and modify them while browsing around other folders in a 3D world could be... cool, if done correctly.

Nooooo! That was an idea I had a while ago!!
Mine was actually a "house", in which each door was a different folder.
Good job though!
