Man, this game is shaping up to be truly amazing. Honestly, if you showed me a screenie somewhere else than the forums I wouldn't even think that it was FPSC. May I ask what hex code for the light coming off the picture on the left of your latest screenie is?

Quote: "And whats wrong with stock media?! "

Nothing at all! If you use it right, it looks good(as with anything).

Well, well the game is shaping up to be even better than your last BOTB game. Heck I could see this going up for VBOTB, it would be a nice upgrade on your current badge

Anyways its good to see your how fast you grow at FPSC. Each passing day, each screenshot, each game, you seem to vastly improve on everything. This screens your showing in my opinion can even counter that off ones made with EFX and Xara mod. In other words your using fenix yet your graphics rival even the greatest mods!

Keep it up Wolf, your one of those I admire here on the forums!

BTW, quick question. Where does your inspiration for your levels and design come from?

Well...thats a mix of the storyline, coincidences, music/ music videos and movies I saw or games I played...

I do not have any "real" thing that inspires my Mapdesign.

This game is frickin' sick! Can't wait to have this beast on my harddrive, wolf!

Everything is top notch, the level-design, the weapon textures, the enemy retextures... creates a really intense mood!

Quote: "it doesn't look like it belongs in an Xray room"

Yeah, it might doesn't fit in there, but it's kind off a tradition of him... every game he released had pictures of women in it.

Quote: "please dont uploaded with .7z"

Why shouldn't he use the 7z format? It's free and has the best compression ratio (winrar and the free 7-Zip are able to extract the archives).

If you look at the ceiling over the "Nameless" you`ll see that there is a lightmapping glitch and the ceiling is black.

I just fixed it:

Thanks guys!

I just finished the synchronisation of the game. Its creepy as hell! It has even a more creepy athmosphere than doom 3, in my opinion.

You`ll be able to test the open beta demo this weekend

I am very excited to try this demo Wolf! Doom 3 is by far still one of my favorite games, so you definitely have my attention here! Your skills continue to astound me, and this project looks brilliant between the incredible retextures and the sinister, nightmarish atmosphere.

This weekend will not come soon enough

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Alright! The Showcase entrie will be this evening (if upload takes too much time and if you live in another timezone... tomorrow.)

But, please read:

Important

The Demo release will be a Beta Demo for testing purpose only. Most of the scripts that will be running in the full version (Pickup Item Scripts and Interaction Dialogs and some of the "Quest" Scripts.) won`t be working in this demo version.

Whatsoever: The demo will be a fully playable level of euthanasia so you can test the style, the enemies and get a better relationship to the concept.

On an other note: The game might contain violent and/or morbid content thats not recommended for minors/ and or sensitive people. This is not a joke and not an other wannabe Zombie Dramarama game from an 14 year old. This contains disturbing sounds and graphics.

actually, I'll compare and review, but I think I like yours better, most indie games have a lot of personality that AAA games just dont have. also your lighting is better.

Soo! I have to say...I haven`t really worked with FPSC the last couple of days. I was too busy with screwing up my life (again)

But well... I finally got some sparetime again and I`m almost done with level 2 which will be a bit more story driven but also kinda brutal and creepy

I added some additional Enemies and fixed most of the bugs you guys pointed out in the beta demo. (thanks on that one! )

So...well... I attached another screenshot

I showed this to my brother like I said I would. He was cracking jokes the entire way to make it less scary. It was fun watching him. He ran out of ammo, got clipped into the wheelchair by the xray, and had to restart. LOL. Then the compy lost power on his second try... he never played again...

Looks really nice and all, but one thing - are we going to see any other environments? Just that second level screen looks identical to the first level screens.
