Ok, hopefully this isn't too much of a newbie question. I've dl'ed the program and all updates. I've played around quite a bit this morning just getting a feel for things. Now I've decided to check out the Youtube tutorials, and I've already hit a snag. In "FPS Creator Tutorial: The Basic [sic] of the Editor" there is a 'draw segment as line' button on the toolbar, and it looks really useful. Unfortunately, I don't have it. I've checked out each version before each update, and I'm not sure I ever had it. All my toolbars are enabled, so that's not it.

If it's been removed, does anyone know if there is another method that's been implemented to replace it? I'd really like access to this feature. Thanks!

Ok, my head is beginning to swell.

I'm a noob, but I'm a 42 year old noob whose native tongue happens to be english. It helps.

@xplosys: Too funny (and spot on)!

As do I.

Please note I do occasionally go on complimentary rants like that. But only to people who deserve them.

Actually, not as much as I had hoped. It's supposed to draw units in the shape that you want (say, a diagonal line), but the effect is pretty disjointed. Think gigundous pixels in a diagonal line a la the days of the Atari 2600, and you'll have the idea. Ditto for the circle button. I was hoping I'd be able to insert points to make a more fluid circle, but I'm not sure that's possible (it may be; I've VERY new to this engine).

Unfortunately the circle still has to fit into the constraints of the 'grid' within the map editor. To truly get a circle you would need to model the object yourself and place it in the level. I think WizardofId was doing a tutorial(?) on how to create your level geometry and import it into FPSC.

Still doing it not yet done might take awhile.....

This engine's segment system is built pretty much entirely around square segments on a grid, so any type of shape will have to follow that grid unfortunately.
