ok this idea just randomly came to my head i was wondering making a football game or maby 2 on 2 basketball game was possible?

Well anythings possible, just not easy. You're going to need 3D Studio max from Autodesk with character studio to make the animations (prepare to have a heart attack when you see the price). After that it would be a matter of figuring out to script the AI's to do their jobs on the field (like a script to avoid objects and move to the guy with the ball)

Uh, 3DS Max isn't the only keyframe capable software out there...

You could always make a midget tossing game.

Have a midget as a gun and then run and drop the gun.

make the basketball a weapon with flak.

the flak is a basketball.

the moving animation is dribbling, as is the standing animation. the firing animation is shooting the ball/passing the ball. make trigger zones all over the court and script them to see a character in the zone and if the flak comes into that zone along with the character, then that character plays the ball dribble anim.

it would all be incredibly difficult, but definately possible.

Does fragmotion or milkshape have the firespot for when you make a character? I never used those before but for that low of a price it would be worth a shot? I know you can use blender but I never got a gun to work right with a character exported from that.
Max is expensive but with the character studio files from fpscreator.com it takes only minutes to make a full working character. (with a lot of practice)
