Hey guys, after much for trying to fix my XM8, and the fact i cant UV map because i cant find any tutorials, i decided to get a model i had in a dream into 3ds max (I have yet to add smoothing to some parts of the gun, im not going to smooth it all because not everything needs to be smooth.)

Total Poly count = 734 polygons(New record for me)

Pictures

folded up stock and ... piece at the front where you hold it... (not sure what its called...)


What do i need to do?

Model a ammo mag
Make a high poly version and add detail, then figure out how to bake detail onto low poly model
Texture and possibly add bump and spec map
Bring it into FPSC and see what happens.

734 seems too high for that model. Try to delete surfaces not visible, think of how you can put in small details without killing surface count, and spend lots of time with it as well as paying attention to proportions.

How would one go about to post a wireframe render of it? im afriad i have no clue on how to do that.

Im going back to my moms house today, so i will be able to make any changes and such because i also get monday off from school.
