Dark GDK / how to import modeling structures from various format?

hey i'm baron,

let me get to point, i have maya 2010, i have some knowledge about maya, where as i am new to gdk. so maya supports these export format.
ma
mb
fbx
rtg
object
dae
and some.

and how do i import from this format to gdk.
if the these format are not applicable with gdk,plz mention the procedure to make it possble with any software.

well, export to .obj and then do this:

dbLoadObject ( Id,"path\\mesh.obj" );

and thats it.

well, it would be better to find a .x exporter for maya, .x is 2nd fastest format used by darkGDK

I thought .obj was the fastest, so would you mind telling me what the fastest is ( technicly since DGK is a DX wrapper .x should be the fastest, i think... ).

.dbo is the fastest followed by .x, apparently.

oh, mixed .obj with .dbo. I remember converting my .x file to .dbo by the dbSaveMesh command, or am I wrong.

where can i find maya plugin exporter for .x file. any converter will also do.
i have maya 2010.

so that i can import characters also with bones and animations.


and if anyone have the entire commands and use of the commands in gdk, like biblie of gdk.
