I have set my ambient lighting to 50, cause i have forgotten the default number it was set to.

but even then im barely getting any lighting, and my rooms are constantly lit, even in places i dont have lights.

got any advice?

Thanks.

Ambient is constant lighting, so that's why.

If you want lights to be more powerful, make them bigger. The best way to go about this though is to make it more of a grayish (or whatever color you're using) color and make it bigger. More natural that way.

Yes, they will be the only thing that lights it.

set ambience to 0 and press "enter" and then press ok
your ambience level should be like this:
Ambience:0
Ambience red:0
Ambience green:0
Ambience Blue:5 (most realistic touch)

The color values don't make any difference when the ambience is set to 0.
