Just occured to me how usefull UV mapped sprites could be.
If you had a picture of a wall that was at an angle, you could set the UV coordinates of a sprite to the logical corners of the wall, then the sprite would have a projected wall. This means you could make photographic textures without needing a straight on view of the wall or whatever. I'll try it later but I'm pretty sure it'd work - would make a pretty handy little tool, you could make textures from almost any angled photograph

. You would simply paste the sprite and grab the texture from that, then save it - or just PRNTSCRN then paste into your art package.
