Thought it was about time to post it up here.

At the end of last year i decided to try and create a Mario remake. It started with original mario sprites. After a while it turned out pretty good so i decided to start drawing my own, and come up with my own name. His name is Hector!

Here are some features i have.

Mystery Boxes
Mushroom (good, 1 up on lives)
Mushroom (bad, Shrooms, Everything goes negative and it slows down)
Dogs
Dinosaurs
Coins
Running Hole (Explained below)
Ladders
Door
Chest

You might be wondering "What do you mean a running hole?". Well I was trying to find something to jump between levels (like pipes in mario). Me and my brother came up with a hole. It's a black hole with legs. It will run in the opposite direction of you until you jump in it. At that point you will be brought to another level just like pipes in mario.

The door is used to either 1.) jump to a specific level 2.) Return from a running hole 3.) go to next level in a map.

The Chest is to finish a map and move onto the next one.

I am currently working on a gun

It was made with dbpro btw.

Lastly here are some screen shots.

Here is a screenshot of the gun:

Again i am having problems with the objects being infront of the player. The gun is supposd to be behind the player.

The map editor is coming a long. It is kind of a test of my gui functions usability also, so i'm squeezing out all the bugs. The big part is done though. I just need to make it look a little better. lol

try to draw the player after the gun, i mean in your code. if you call the players draw after the gun, it should overlap it.

But i am using sprites. The player sprite priority is set high (10000 or something) so that this won't happen but it still is. The weird thing is that it only happens after you die once. That narrows the debugging a little but it's still giving me the slip lol
