Hi,
I have got a royalty free SCI-FI sniper rifle that I would like rigged and animated with EAI arms/hands.

If anyone can do this, I was then going to post the finished animated FPSC gun for all to use.

Let me know.

Regards

Solo

Make sure you have asked for explicit permission from EAI himself to use his hand and arm rigs.

May be it's me but i can't see how this is a
SCI-FI sniper rifle it just looks like any modern rifle.
You need somethink like this.

And it works great ingame.

Looks a tad bit sci-fi to me, but not a whole lot...

Looks great, btw.

SO you get to release and then take most if not all of the credit after the modeler and rigger's hard work. Why shouldn't the person who rigged do it?

Hi,
Yes I found it on TURBOSQUID, I really think the forum could do with some more SCI-FI guns.

AaronG - I have emailed you the model

Toasty Fresh - If AaronG does the rigging and then posts the model for all to use, I have no problem with that, not after credit just trying to help the forum

He never mate, he simply downloaded it, now hes asking someone to animate it, then he wants to release it.

As for modeling in general;

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&b=3&t=154983&p=0

This thread will cover everything you need to use. First you need to find a modeling program your comfortable with, then you just follow the tutorials in that thread. It takes practice but its well worth the outcome.

If you need a hand, research it as much as possible then post a 'informed' question on the 3D chat board. If youv shown youv actually bothered to look at stuff, people are more inclined to help.

SOLO DESIGN

In the future, please do NOT redistribute models that someone else created. If you find the models online, please provide a link to them. if the license of the model specifically states that you may redistribute them, you can, but it is still a generally accepted rule that it is more polite to link the download, then to redistribute the model, as the artist cannot keep track of their content.

Its also worth noting that most of the time artists respond better if there is some sort of incentive, either content you created, money, or something of value (not something you downloaded). Animation and rigging isn't easy work, and the guys that are good at it usually don't do it for free.

Well put BullShock. Solo Design I would advise you to look into learning how to model yourself. You can do research on a bunch of modeling programs. Go to the modeling Forum on TGC and do some reading. You will learn a lot. Nothing is gonna just be handed to you. You will appreciate it more when you learn to model and rig yourself.

Hey people,
Apologies to all if I have broke a forum rule.

Lazerus - I do not want to release it as my work at all, All I was saying is I have a weapon that needs rigging, and could anyone help.
I would then load the weapon up to all (for free!!) to use.

No big issue, just saw the gun and thought (as we have a low amount of sci-fi weapons for FPSC) that it would help.....nothing else, no hidden agenda, no money making scheme etc....etc

I do model and use Milkshape and Fragmotion alot, but have never done weapons for FPSC, which I am learniing

Again Apologies to all.

MOD- Please LOCK or delete this thread.

Many Thanks
