Ok, here's my problem. I want full shader effects but with no lights. When I set my preferences to this, the ambient lighting goes darker. I have tried adjusting the setuplevel fpi and have cranked the ambience to 100 with rgb at 255 each, but this had no effect. Is there a way to get the ambient brighter or is it a case of your cake and eating it too? ( I can use the < and > keys while testing and that works , but of course is not permenent.
Thanks

So, not really a solution, but I found that if you build your game with no lights, and full shader effects, the < and > keys still function in the built game and brighten everything up. It's almost kinda cool to have in-game adjustable ambience. As long as the player knows how to do it, I think a controls diagram on the loading screen would work just fine.
