I'd like to make a program that can write .dbo files. Does anyone know a guide on what all bits n bytes mean in a .dbo file?

Well thier's a very easy way to do this. Download FPSC free, and import a model, this creates the DBo file for you.

As for actually writing the file converter well that'd be tricky, i think asking on the DB forums will help better.

I never said I wanted a converter.

I want my map editor to export a (lightmapped (multiple uv's)) map as a dbo file.

Plus if I read out the byte values from a dbo file not only will I get an enormous random number puzzle, but also not every dbo file will have all it's features activated.

I'm sorry about the gravedig, but other people might be looking for this and I don't want to withhold them from the answer.

Attached is a document that explains what all the bytes in a dbo file means.
If you understand memblocks then you will understand the contents of the attachment.

sidenote: I found it here by googling "FVF_PSIZE".
I cannot support you on its contents.
