Hi! I am new, this is my first post here!
I'd like to know if I can use music/sounds from existent games or do I have to make my own musics? Thanks.

This is probably not a problem for the competion. However in general if you don't have copyright permision to use it (i.e. copied it without asking the author if you can use it), it might be a problem.

Theres lots of music you could use, try looking on the internet, and there lots on the dbc cd.

it says in the rules you have to have made the music/sounds yourself or they have to be copyright free/permission given, you can read the rules on the contest pages on this site, they are pretty thorough.

OK. Can you give me links for game musics? (good quality, not midi)
I know sites for midi musics only...

Some public domain/royalty free resources:

Music, sound effects, and textures from Golgotha...
http://jonathanclark.com/golgotha/browse.html

Public Domain Music
http://www.pdinfo.com/

Partner In Rhyme
http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/

Free Music Archive
http://www.free-music.com/fma2000/
[This site is not PD/Royalty free, but many of the artists here will let you use their music for free if you give them credits in the game/program.]

This is the tip of the iceberg. Just fire up your web browse and start searching.
