I've been trying to get back into my DBPro, and I wanted to start off with a 2D platform game sorta similar to Mario, or Lost Vikings (I guess mainly Mario, though).

I've looked around the forums already.

1. What would be better for a platform game? 2D Plugin Kit? Or eXtends?

2. Are there any tutorials that could assist me in this?

I'm looking to get started with:

Basic sprite movement, collision, and gravity.
Level scrolling.

If there's any help, that'd be much appreciated.

Unless you're complete attached to DBpro, There's a third option, which is using PlayBasic Learning Edition..

This Example-> Mario Demo / 2D Platform Game Includes everything you're after.

Yes, I'm attached to DBPro, but I'll look into PlayBASIC at some other point in time.

Thanks for the help anyway. I'll just try the 2D plugin kit.
