Hey guys,

Recently I posted in the FPSC models and media section a problem I am getting with Google sketch up. I am trying to test out a dome city model, if it is even possible to use in FPSC. So, the problem I am getting is when I export the model into a .x format, it seems to be taking a gigantic floor with it. Though I know this forum is not supposed to be used to FPSC problems, I don't think it's FPSC. I believe that it may be an option in sketch up somewhere, or possibly a wrong template I am using. I have attached a picture of what is looks like in sketch up and a picture of the model in the editor with a huge gray floor that does not seem to end lol. If anyone could help me out with exporting just the model it's self that would be much appreciated. Figured I would ask the model gods

**Edit**
I can't believe I spelt google wrong. Sorry for my English guys

have you made an FPE, UV mapped it or textured it? any of these could be your problem

Hey mazz thank you for responding. I have textured it yes. I applied it to the model as well, its not showing up interestingly enough. So I decided to play with a similar model, a round shield with much less polygons. Textured it and everything. I also added a .fpe yes. I ran it through the entity work shop. Seems now I can see it in the editor fine, with no floor. When I compile it does not seem to show up. So I am not sure if it's sketch up or FPSC.

dont use sketups texture system, it uses multple textures which is complicated, its got to be dynamic and you have to add a few things to the FPE, start with somethnig simple like a box, you're biting off more than you can chew

Alright, perhaps your right, I will start with a box. It has to be dynamic? that sucks, there goes that idea, I was hoping to use it for multiplayer.
