Sorry for the bump, but I hate leavine threads uncommented. To tell you the truth, Kalinka, the geometry is pretty high for a simple model like that. You went overboard with cylinders. On the other hand, UV mapping the model doesn't seem like a problem, no one has any idea what that texture should look like (as in you haven't shown us an example), and the fact that everyone is currently caught up in their own work, such as the new contest, current projects, and practice. I remember when I was at your point, when I made a complex model that I couldn't UVMap and texture, nor animate. But all I can say is that when I get stuck, I made a much simpler model that had the same type of obstacles, work with that, and eventually got better. Animating, though, is something I'm new at. I recommend you do the same, because if you're asking someone else to texture and animate the model for you, that means you don't know how, and it'd be a better idea to slowly learn, either by yourself or through tutorials, how to do these things. -SJHooks

You should get yourself CharacterFX, very very easy to use and great for DBPro - it's designed more for character animation, but it just means you'd have to assign a bone for the ammo clip and stuff. It takes a bit of learning like anything else. Maybe this should be a practice model, then next time add in a pair of arms, try and step up the complexity as you learn.

Just take your time, and get an art package, even The Gimp, or SAi. Once you know how CharacterFX works, it quickly becomes quite good fun to animate guns, reloads etc, not easy - but it would be less fun if it was too easy.

Actually there are; it depends on the 3D editing program you're using. It may come with animation, unless you mean how to make animations flow as if they're realistic. To that it took me a while to get down, I had to work with normal 2D animation for a while, but I eventually got it. I learned how to animate in blender from simple youtube videos. And Van B's right, CFX is a pretty good animation program, I'd check it out.
