Has anyone ever noticed DBpro always compiles your exe with a 16 colour Icon. I've got a 256 Colour Icon included in my DB program, and it displays fine in the system space (top left of the DB window) but gets murdered as the actual EXE icon. I've tried replacing it with 'Resource hacker' but that destroys my EXE. Can anyone help?

Strings are PChars ??????? What a World

does anyone know how to use resource hacker?, I can't really be bothered to read all that long list of "help" crap... just too long..
if anyone can give a brief explanation, please...

I just use a 16 color one so the icon will look ok for Win9X users.
But I can't get it to replace the Windows logo on the window bar when the program is running. The desktop icon is fine. The taskbar icon is fine.

Heartbone: To get the in-game icon on the programs title bar to appear fine change your DBPro\Compiler\plugins\icon.ico file.

As for changing the .exe I think your best bet is to go with a 16 colour icon.

And if your unable to read the documentation ToiletFreak, that leaves you in the wonderful world of trial and error - enjoy

PneumaticDryll that tip did not work for me.

My window still has the Windows 98 logo as the icon.
On Windows XP the icon appears as a rectangluar white thing with a blue line along the top.

The yellow and black DBP logo never has shown up as the window icon so I didn't understand how changing it would make a difference.
I'm using Set Window Layout 1,1,1

Does anyone know of another trick to replace the Windows icon in the title bar of a Windowed DBPro application?
