Hi there,

Sorry to appear "out of the loop", but I have some real world prizes I'm thinking of kick starting a meaty contest with but I wouldn't want it to overlap any existing competitions which are running.

I've had a quick flick through the pages but I couldn't spot any. I would appreciate if any enlightened few could let me know if a contest is running or about to begin.

Cheers!

Not that I'm aware of.

Jeku always gets drunk and tries to Moderate the ocean. Tirelessly slapping the waves as they roll in.

I was considering starting an Easter compo, so if I do you'll be the first to know.

Again, I don't think it's too late to donate to the Screenshot comp...

And what about Help Bug's comp? It's still going on.

Coach Shogun is running the screenshot compos. I think a new competition would be awesome! Especially because spring break starts tomorrow

No, it's not too late to submit prizes to the screenshot comp.

You can't enter, but they accept late prizes.

A 48 hour game jam style contest could be pretty sweet. A set of jugdes would set up the contest and when it launches they release a secret keyword that should be reflected in the games participating.

A keyword could be "water" and then you had to somehow include water in the game. It could also be "artificial" and then you somehow would have to use that as a topic. It can also be a phrase you have to use. Example: "The future is bright" would require people to maybe look away from the always dark FPSC levels.

With secret keywords no one has a huge advantage from their pre-made levels and this usually works really well in short running contests where rapid development, iteration and creativity should rule.

edit: I might consider sponsoring a contest of this style actually Name it FPSC Game Jam or something.

not this weekend. I'd say next week. I need at least a day to design my map, and day to build it, and a day to make the gameplay and stuff, and a day for finishing touches.
