Thanks for the free model Hawn, not really usable as is for anything im doing right now,but take a look at my track editor post in WIP forum , it might give you some ideas as to what is needed to use a model like this.http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=158864&b=8

51,787 faces and 37,330 verts. Plus, you would have to add in scenery, the cars, physics and stuff. It seems like it would be a bit much for DBP to handle with any kind of a decent framerate. Have you thought of maybe combining some of the verts using planes or even boxes?

If you want to use it you would have to chop it up into 50+ pieces and load and unload each piece as you progress on the lap. every single serious racing game does this.
This model removes the annoyance of designing a track and it's a good track.

I really don't see how that would speed things up. Planes and boxes are made up of polys too.

If there is a level section of track that uses say, 60 verts, and you can use one plane to replace it, you have 60 - 4 = 56 verts that are no longer used. Doing this multiple times could realize a significant reduction in verts and would result in a gamespeed increase. I never said it was a bad track, by the way. The track is good and represents a lot of hard work.
