So, do you guys sell your models? What's the average revenue per model? Do you sell independently or through a marketplace? Are the marketplace fees too high?

Also, let's make a list of our stores!

Yes I sell my models and to be honest even though I sell quite a few there really isnt a lot of money in it, Just enough for me to take the girl out for a meal once a month. Do it for the love of doing it, you aint gonna become a millionaire over night.

I sell most of mine through 3d market places and they can take anything upto 60% of the sale price. If you are considering selling any model make sure its good with no errors, presented well with accurate technical details. There are far too many poor quality models for sale with unrealistic prices. Take a look at your favourite game from last year or perhaps the year before, if you cant match that quality dont bother because you wont sell. Dont think you can upload something thats a bit dodgey and just charge $5 for it as most buyers will see straight through it. Charge a fair price and your model will be taken more seriously.

I`m not suggesting that you would do any of the above and I am sure your models are of high quality.

I have used Turbosquid, but they take a huge chunk of your revenue. I managed to get a good revenue from selling stock media, but most importantly, i managed to get some very important freelancing contracts with small and medium sized studios. It's a good and interesting way to show your portfolio.

Where are your store links, guys? I would like to see some of your work!

Becoming a seller in TGC store isn't an exclusive priviledge reserved for the best artists or anything like that You just need to send an email with a few screenshots of your work, sign a few contracts, send some things back and forth though the mail, and a few weeks later, you have an account.

I could very well sell my models, I mean I don't think I'm especially good at the stuff but I do think my models are decently sell-able. But I don't, I just make everything for fun, I'll probably end up selling one or two models every once in a while, seeing as I've always been interested in what FPSC provides customer-base wise.
Seems like a nice place in that regard.
