Hi all

Excuse me my ignorance, but I have expended some days trying to find this information with no results. Also, may be it is not the section to publish this question. In this case, sorry.

The question:

How can I pack the media resources of a game in DBPro to avoid the player to see the graphics and other resources?

May be with a dll, but I found information about to create it to call functions, etc, but not for graphics, sounds and related.

If a dll is a good way to do, how can I create it with VC++ 2008 Express?

And the most important, How can I call this resources from the DBPro?

A lot of thanks in advance.

You need Enhancements Expansion Pack
Fileblock comands - enables you to pack 3D objects , music and pictures, plus set key-password to filelblok .....
or... with standart imageblock command ... just for example

From date you joined i have my doubts about you managed to complete a game in same day you joined. But to answer your question, you can pack your media resources using dbpro only, if you master file control well, it will be no problem at all.If you want more about protecting files search "encryption" in forums, you will have great success.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

So nobody is allowed to use DBPro until they join the forum?

Thanks Nickydude. I also think that the forum's date is irrelevant.

Maximilian, great work your utility! I think what I need is the Enhancements Expansion Pack, like you say. My intention is to take the "easy way" for packing resources and it seems to be just what I need.

Luskos, I'll take a look to your information. Thanks to all.

Well.. Question resolved. I found a good solution with the IMAGEBLOCK command. I posted it in "Code Snippets / IMAGEBLOCK example" if you like to take a look. I have posted it because it can be useful to others.

Thanks all.
