I was expecting something a bit more advanced that cubes, but I suppose you don't worry about that until the core engine is working

You should probably post this in the WIP section.

DarkPhysics uses PhysX drivers

I think you can get them from the Nvidea website...

Ok ...so Physx drivers will be compatible with all laptop? or do I have to make sure to avoid risks of damaging the notebook?

Thanks.

The PhysX runtime driver comes with dark physics.
you can find it by going to start/all programs/the game creators/expansion packs/Dark Physics/Tools.

Its just called "runtime drivers.

Drivers wont damage anything!

Quote: "Physx drivers will be compatible with all laptop?"

Yes. it's the graphice card which needs to be compatible to enable hardware physics mode. Otherwise you only get software mode.

Quote: "I think you can get them from the Nvidia website..."

Yes, you can.

Well ...I tested your program, and it runs to slow to me...the turns are very slow too.You talked about advanced lighting...will your program generates the lights...or you will have to get them from external pograms ? .Perhaps in future versions some improvements will be made .

Cheers!

@charfari
i know its slow....
i think it might be slow because of advanced lighting. Probably just changing the font and text size every loop :p ill do a ckick test, take out the health + stanima code and it should be faster. ill post the results soon
note: the forum still calls me a new pearson so it will take a while for any of my posts to "appear"...

Edit:
:o im not hurt, or offended for that matter.
by "the forum" i didnt mean people, i meant the system that runs wether new posts need to be aproved by an admin or not.

yup, that was the main problem. sending the debug every loop is also slowing it down a little but i need that for now...

new download v0.2.1 (faster, a new building added and you can run(hold right ctrl) )

http://www.mediafire.com/file/j32nzejwzmt/Maple Engine v.0.2.1.rar

P.S im only useing advanced lighting for water and sky
its just a collection of shaders along with 4000 lines of
code with 100,s of brillient functions eg. Water_Setup(1)

Edit:
~Just incace you dont see the post above:

Ok Maple Engine...I feel myself better now. We do not need the approval of anyone, while we act civilly. We have all been newcomers someday, and when we start in a new forum, the system use to be like that unfortunatelly.

If politicians are wrong, we also have the right

Happy Father's Day for all Dads

What kinda map editor would you like to do ?...level editor, or terrain editor? It shouldn`t be to hard to save an load your map.

Start little by little, and don`t hesitate to ask for help; here we can help you somehow. Don`t give up !

Hello
Thanks for the advise chafari
the level editor is basicly just going to load all the objects in a specific folder to a libary shown as a sidebar (like in dbpro )
then you can add them to your scene, scale them ,rotate them and move them.
The main reason im concerned about the saving and loading is because its so much data:

*map size
*map name
*map no
*For every single object
*object no
*object rotation(string)
*object position(string)
*object file name
*object scale

and more

im just going to start by making a simple function to load the objects and show them on a sidebar.

Ill post an update soon for anyone thats intrested.

Edit:
Sorry Everyone but i think ill have to delay the levle editor for another time...
I have just bean doing a bit of research and looking at ways i COULD do everything i need but it's just to hard for me right now...

EDIT2:
Ok, iv decided to scrap the idia of scrapping the idia of a map editor (basicly im making one ) and here is a link to some quick mock-up i made:

http://the-random-site.netne.net/run.html

(the random site is just someting i decided to make at school out of bordem)
its not brilient but its a start...

At least i try
