Greetings,

I am working on writing a tutorial on the subject of using FPS Creator as a level editor for DBPro. It seems I have run into a little problem and need some advice. If you can help, it would greatly be appreciated. Also, your name will be mentioned in the credits. As well as anyone’s help or code used, that I have received from TGC Forum. The included file contains source and all data files needed to compile with DBPro.

I have made two simple meshes and segments, Using Fragmotion and FPS Creator’s SEGEDKIT. I have integrated them in to FPS Creator and am able to use them to build levels. When I use the testlevel files in my DBPro project, the crown is darker then wall. Both models have been UV mapped individually and mapped using the same texture with Lithunwrap. The normals seem to all point in the correct direction. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.

Thank you.

Sorry, fell asleep at the wheel,

Just thought I should attach the FPS Creator files. Simply extract to your desktop. Check directory and files. If all's well. Paste the folder in to your FPS Creator's folder. Now run FPS Creator and open MyGame.fpm.

Thanks.

You might want to check this out before you go too far with your tutorial, I wrote one for the newsletter a long time ago. Feel free to write a more up to date one if you have more information to add...

BatVink,

Thank you, for your interest in my problem. I have read your tutorial in the past. You are already in the credits. Your tutorial is a part of what inspired me to do this. However, there wasn’t a problem loading the level in DBPro. It was a problem with the consistency of my model design. You would think I could model a couple simple meshes, and get it right the first time. Oh well.

The problem has now been solved.

Thanks again.
