Hi
Sorry to post this separately, but there has been no response even after making two posts in the Fenix Mod official thread.

I run vista 32, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT, Intel Quad Core 2.6 GHz.
Fresh installation of FPSC, upgrade to 1.16, proper installation of Fenix Mod, and only then I opened FPSC this time, still the same problem of crashing when trying to build a test level.
I have very little time, working a full time day job and then working on freelance assignments. Can squeeze out only a little bit of free time to pursue hobbies.

I am not a programmer, just an artist, but may be I too will be able to help the community in my own manner, once I can start and complete a level. I will gain a bit of understanding. I need the fenix mod because I am more focused on 3rd person and rpg, but shifting to fps at will.

Help and guidance would be appreciated. I do feel a bit frustrated at being unable to put the program to the use I want, and which can be done. Other people seem to be doing it.

Still moving in circles.

Adding some information in case there is any one kind enough to help me out.
FPSC is installed in my external E drive
FPSC Agent Pro installed in my C drive
FPSC crashes when trying to create test game
If I try test game through FPSC Agent then the splash screen of TGC comes and then if I press a key, any key, the test level is properly loaded.
Can anybody provide a solution?
Thanks in advance

32 bit operating systems can't handle more than 3.25 GB of ram.

I'm not sure but it may be your problem.

You might get a better response if you take a screenshot of the error. Just saying it crashes doesn't really give enough information.

Hi Bugsy,
Thanks for responding. 4GB RAM is not the problem. Vista can now recognize it and also shows it in system reports. Previously that never used to happen. Also, if that was the problem, none of the other graphics applications or software would have worked. This is the only program crashing. Everything else runs smooth including Vue, Poser, Carrara, Truespace, and a host of heavy games like Dragon Age origins and Assasin's Creed. But it was an angle. Thanks for responding to my plea for help.

Thraxas, Greetings.
Error is Windows is forced to close the program.
Checked firewall. Turned of Antivirus. Problem is still there.
Also clear dump function is crashing.
Screenshot of error attached.

Firewall and av would have nothing to do with the compiling process, as they only stop things getting in via teh internets.

Try running FPSCreatorCleaner.exe from your FPS Creator directory.

And run it as admin if you are on Vista (it sometimes doesn't clean anything otherwise).

With fenix v1 it crashed when i tried to test game.
Error said some dll files were missing (downloaded the dll's and placed in fpsc folder(all fixed)
When i installed fenix v1.1 it did the same except the error report didn't say why.
So i checked what dll files i used on fenix 1,placed dll in folder and all fixed.
msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll

There the dll files i used.
Not heard of anyone else getting this prob but it may help.

Best Stephen

Reporting for all kindhearted friendsL
The problem has gone away by itself.
Now game test is functioning.
Though I don't know what changed, except that I kept on trying to dreaw levels and test them, with fpsc being closed down by vista everytime. Suddenly one test game worked. And from that time every game is loading without any hitch.
Thanks for all the support.

I always run things and install in administrator mode only in Vista.
Don't know why the trouble occurred, and don't know how it went away.
FPSC is magical
