I bought a 20 second looping wav file for background music in my game when you're in the menus...

I converted the wav file to MP3, and it is definatley no longer loopable... Their is a totally noticable change in the sound at the end....

Does anyone know of an MP3 encoder that doesn't do this? I've tried the Lame encoder, and the encoder that came with my CD ripper (CDEX)... Any ideas?

You could use the humble Sound Recorder included with Windows. I'm not sure if the mp3 export is an extra i've downloaded at some point but that's what i've started using. I save the file and use it as a .wav sound still but saved out with .mp3 compression. Check out the options when you save.

The Waver program is a good WAV to MP3 convertor.

audio catalyst does mp3 encoding nicely.
Or, you could always d/l the OGG Vorbis dll and use ogg format instead.
