...Yeah, I know some have succeeded doing that, but... Well, I just thought, if anyone would share the knowledge, lol... Because I'm working on a new project that desparately needs animated menu, and loading screen...
So... could someone tell, if there's a simple way to do it?

You can have a video as background with any mod that has Airmod.Then in the loadingscreen script for example use this command:
backgroundvideo=

i would say .avi, but i could be wrong.

if you want a video, you can use .wmv or .avi, altough i got problems with it :S

Was wondering if you could use animated gif files. In theory it should work, could be wrong.

Well, I thought gifs don't work... I haven't tried, because I thought it wouldn't work... And I'm afraid it'd screw FPSC horribly, and broke it, so... I haven't tested it...
