Think you missed my point. Everyone who owns and uses DBpro clearly has already downloaded and installed Directx 9.0c probably by downloading it from microsoft as you described, BUT very few people who dont use DBpro and have newer operating systems such as Vista or W7 dont have Directx 9, therefore they are unable to play a game or application written in DBpro unless they specifically download Dx9. Why would any one download something, possibly if they are unsure,just to try a game out.
It would make running games for all these people much simpler if any necessary directx 9 components could be applied on their testing/running of a game.
Because the time has come where people need faster processing power and better graphic cards, it is unlikely that they would get a new pc/laptop with the old XP operating system and therefore would not have Directx 9 installed.
I think that if no-one has an application to detect/install Directx 9c components to run DBpro written games on newer pc's, then maybe TGC should offer one.
