I've been wanting to get store credits for a long time now but I'm under 18 so I can't get a credit card and the only real option for me is to use the paymo method but Australia isn't listed in the countries you can choose from. Is there a way to get around this?

I suppose that this is where I'm supposed to put some witty one liner. Well...sorry to dissapoint.

Do you have any parents/aunts/uncles or someone in the family that can buy for you with a credit card?

Get your mum and dad to get Paypal and put their credit card stuff in there. Almost everybody has a Paypal, and if your dad thinks it's dangerous, he's a come on, you know better and you are legally entitled to slap him

It took me a very, very long time to convince my friend's mum that Paypal was safe several many years ago.

They just don't trust the internet, I suppose.

.

And yeah, just get PayPal, I doubt anyone's technically managed to hack PP. I don't have it personally but my dad uses it and has never been hacked.

@Toasty Fresh

Please don't say that about somebody's father, it's perfectly normal that someone would have doubts about where there credit card info is going, and it is highly offensive.

Honestly, you're like journalists. Picking out the worst part of a sentence. We don't even know if his dad is refusing to use it yet.

I agree with Toasty here. Anyone who would be ignorant enough to fear using something that millions of other people use safely can be ridiculed, in my books.

Why am I not surprised...

I'm a father, and I don't let my kids use PayPal. Does that make me one too?

I'm surprised that users would even consider calling someone's father a name like this, let alone be able to even have that comment posted here in the forum. You can easily give reasons of how PayPal is secure and safe without the added comments and disrespect towards someone's father. Perhaps this fellow has his reasons that we are unaware of.

I guess it demonstrates the amount of maturity and respect in the forums. Two words that some are lacking.

Cheers

Mike

No. There's a difference between refusing to use something completely, and being cautious of what your kids do.

If you ask me, anyone calling my dad that in real life would receive a funny-shaped skull, if not even a punch where the Sun doesn't shine . That's only if I was up to my neck in stress, then I'd retaliate :L (I'm a nice guy, but get on the wrong side of me and grr...). So, am I a twit if I can't trust PayPal or is it just fathers then? You seriously need to think before posting, I'm surprised a mod ain't seen this yet.

@GJ,

Funny how one word brings a reputation down to sub-minus zero...I'm sure we're all shocked.

Anyway, back on topic...Paypal is secure and they have around 5 servers built with extra firewalls and hacker protection to stop the pesky rats from leaping in...so yeah, I understand your dad, some are quite protective over a lot of things on the internet.
