I didn't really know what forum to put this in so I apologise if it's the wrong one.

After a format and re-install of windows, I re-installed darkbasic pro.

When I try to run a program it says,"Unable to locate Darkbasic cd rom Eject and re-enter cd."

Then protection error.

Failed to validate compiler.

I eject and re-enter the cd and the same thing happens.

I am running the latest updates AND I do have the disk in ???????

The disk is fine as I installed from the thing.

This is very annoying as I am just begining to learn this very promising language after buying it from amazon and now it would seem, it has been rendered useless.

I am on windows xp pro, 1gh pIII, 384 mb sd ram with GForce 2 32 mb graphics card.

Thing is, it's the same setup as before but now it won't work ???

Sorry for the long ramble and it's probably something simple ( at least I hope it is LOL ).

Have you installed SP1, DX9.0b, all the latest graphics and sound drivers + DBPro updates ?
