on an object to create a glow effect?

anyone tried or know how to set this up if its possible?

2 choices.

Use the SET BLEND MAPPING ON command, and add an emissive texture to the object.


Use a shader and apply an emissive texture to the object.

Hi there. Have a look to this piece of code.Change the light range to cero and see the difference...it glows even with no light at all. I hope it can help.

For the purposes of my demo I got the best results just using a camera facing plane(3d sprite) with an alpha'd glow texture on it..

I did indeed get the emmisive texture to work but the result wasn't what I was looking for, ended up being way too blown out.

Sometimes the simplest answer works best.
Thank you for the help, although I ended up using a simpler method I still learned a lot.
