Hi there!

The fire particles have the following properties:



But they still have these ugly black areas and hide the rest of the particles. What I don't understand is why only ghosted objects are not visible when behind the particles, but non ghosted objects are...

Here's a screeny.



Any help is greatly appreciated!

hide the object instead, I belive this is what I did, I dont have my code with me right now but yes,

You might try,

SET OBJECT CULL particle, 0

It's a little hard to tell from the image, but if a particle object goes behind the player, it may be getting culled by the system.

DISABLE OBJECT ZWRITE may be the answer.

It looks to me like the zbuffer is causing parts of the object to not be rendered when you have multiple overlapping polygons

I tried both and DISABLE OBJECT ZWRITE did the job. Thanks a lot!
