Dark GDK / Glued objects count as???

Does glued objects count as one or if there is 4 are they counted as 4 objects?

I'm pretty sure it still counts as an object, for example, you have a box(obj1) and a sphere(obj2) and you glue obj2 to obj1, you still have 2 objects just the sphere is now "attached" to the box and moves in relation to it.
