Hi,

everytime I unwrap a model with LithUnwrap (version 1.3) and export it, I have the problem that every vertex of the object is doubled.
And this is very annoying because then smoothing doesn't work correct and the poly count is doubled.

Has anybody else the same problem, or knows how to solve it?
Or maybe someone knows an other good unwrapper (except of Blender, Wings 3D and UVMapper)

Thanks in advance.

erm, well I would have suggested blender, but you jsut excluded that. TBH I think that you have to know the right way of unwrapping with programs like blender. For instance: sometimes you have to select certain faces of a model and unwrap using the "project from view function" to get the shape to not deform, and then pin a lot. But, to me, it sounds as though you're model has two verticies in the same spot, correct? If that's the case, with blender you could just select the entire model and hit control+w and then click the "Remove doubles" option. This pretty much fixes your problem how you described it. Best of luck!

Well, I like unwrapping with blender but unfortunatly it doesn't export the uv-data right (but that's something, I should ask in the blender forums).
But anyhow thank you for the idea with importing it in an other 3d modeller, removing the doubles and exporting it then, this works just fine for me.

for saving the uv data in blender go to scripts and export uv map and save it anywhere and there you go, if you then export your model it'll be uv mapped, i tend to export as .obj because then its definately saved the data
