In short, when do I use which?

I want to have several of the same enemy type which obviously shares the same model data but each has its own positional information and each would be playing different animations, facing different directions etc... But the core model data would be the same (unless I am misunderstanding something)

So which would I need cause I'm pretty sure I don't need to have multiple copies of the same model data in memory, but alas I am unsure...

Some advice would be helpful...

Thanks,

JTK

With Instance object you are very limited on how you can change the object and it does not retain any animation data. So if you wanted to make a copy of an enemy that has animations you will need to clone them.

Ok. That's what I figured, but now I have another question...

What's the difference between dbCloneObject and dbCreateObject? Internally speaking that is...

Thanks,
