say you make a sky sphere which surrounds your matrix, if you then make some lights (inside the sky sphere), then i think the fact that the lights are in the sphere makes them shine very weirdly. Do you have this problem and how do you remedy it?

Use the SET LIGHT command on your sky-sphere to deactivate the objects light sensitivity

Are the light commands DX8? I cant seem to get them to work on my Gforce mx 2 card.

Which I beleive only supports DX7 commands.

If you have DB Pro then the command is:
- Set object light ObjectNum,(1=on 0=off)

If you have Classic then the command is:
- Set object ObjectNum,wireframe,transparecy,...,light(1=on 0=off),...

Set the light flag to zero

Good Luck
