probably a few thousand dollars?
may sound like a fair ammount too a small time developer which it is, But nothing compared the 100's of millions, Even billions that big companys like Blizard etc make.

but thats the thing,
having earned a mere 1000 dollars by selling his first game,
he can put that towards resourced for further game developments etc.
and his next game might make 100,000 (:

It only takes one game to make you rich ;D

That was a total shot in the dark, Insane Arts.

This question would better be aimed at the developers of said titles. Sales data is not public knowledge after all.

Since 90% of professionally developed games don't make their investment back I think a fair guess would be that they didn't make a profit.

The computer game business is largely hit-driven and selling a few hundred copies does not make back the investment in development (both time and money), even for lone developers.

However, if you look at it from a hobbyist viewpoint then selling even a few copies can feel like a huge reward.
