I made my first game but when I exported it to an exe, I can't find a way to change its icon and when I go to the properties of the exe and click Version it says (see attached screenie).

http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/

I think, should work?
Basically, if you want to change the Icon, you have to change the resource of the icon (unless lee now allows custom icons) and to do that you need a resource editor / hacker.

Its not who you are or what you've done... its WHY you did it and how far you are willing to go.

You do not want to do that...

You don't need a new icon really, and you need to say it was made with FPSC anyway, so just keep it the way it is.

Unfortunantly the way DBP Compiles it's exes will break when you save them through Resourcehacker.. They'll either malfunction right away or give a boatload of random errors.

Ok, but I will mention this game was created using FPS Creator but I do not want it to say this game is copyright of their company. I will mention what is in the PDF which states to say this and nothing else "This game was created using FPS Creator. Copyright 2005 The Game Creators
Ltd. All Rights Reserved. www.fpscreator.com". I don't want it to say this game is there copyright because it isn't yet in properties that is what it states and I MADE IT WITH FPS CREATOR not DBPRO

Hi The Pro

In terms of the copyright of the game that you have made or going to make it will be your copyright, but the copyright of the engine is TGC. Also if your using model packs the copyright belongs to the creator of the models, but if you have paid for the packs you have permission to use it as you see fit within your game.

FPS Creator was made in DBPRO which is why Silvester is refering to that issue.

You could use a program something like FPSC GameStarter which will allow you to change the launcher icon. Plus it will allow to give the user control of screen res and other controls.

Hope this is heplful for you.

Upload the picture as a .jpg and people might actually take a look at the picture.

I mean, who wants to download a huge bitmap?

Probly the easyst thing to do would be to put all of your game files in a folder named "Core Files" or somthing and link a shortcut to it from out side the folder. That way u could chande the icon and stuff.
but if anyone looked in "core files" theyed see your FPSC exe.
