Hi,

I'm just wondering how to change the illuminosity of an object or even better, parts of a texture/ object? I can export an object from Lightwave as an x file and have the whole object illuminosity setting load automatically in DB, but this is the only way I've found to do this. If you look in my screenshot, you can see the laser beam is illuminated along with the lights on the tower. The lights are a seperate object to the tower.

Thanks

For lighting objects and effects, I would disable lighting, then the objects are fully bright. There's also blend mapping, which allows you to add textures onto buildings with really just a brightness texture, the sort of thing you'd use on a ghosted object to do the same thing. I think that the blend mapping is worth looking into rather than having a seperate object fighting for Z depth.

But lasers, and lights, and stuff like that shouldn't be shaded, and that affects fog too.

Thanks Van B. If I did find a blend mapping setting that creates the illusion of lighting would this be seen through fog though? I had to disable fog on those lights. (That building and environment is only a temp version by the way)
