*Tell us exactly what line (at least) an error comes up in. Now it always stops at the sync command, then if you take out it usually comes up in some line before or after the actual error.

*For "Can't load..." type errors, tell us what it can't load but is trying to load.
For example,

'Can't load image "c:\Dbsuckatdebugging.bmp"' file not found.'

would be a lot more helpful than

'Can't load image on line [some random line]'
as it is now.

That and get rid of Endcase. VB doesn't have it, Qbasic doesn't have it, hell, even that B-word basic doesn't have it.

blitz doesn't, and C++ doesn't, pascal/delphi doesn't have it... wait NO LANGUAGE BUT DB has ENDCASE! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

C/C++ has break for each section, unless you want to fall through to the next section.

Hahah Leave endcase if you want, Hell put an EndElse in there while your'e at it! Just fix the debugging to find the actual line where the error happened.

Every key, space, return, has an ASCII value. In C++, Pascal and such, you'll learn this. The string "dog" is actually 4 characters in length. After the 3 letters, there's an invisible NULL character.
QB has endselect instead of endcase I think.

But dont forget RETURN is an invisible character...
Anyway, enough of this silliness - the error reporting could be a lot friendlier. It would be nice if LOAD IMAGE/OBJECT etc returned a value back - which would be useful if/when we could turn off the internal error message display.

And please, for the love of God, if there is a new IDE, can we have proper TAB indents and not multiple space 'pretend' TABS. What is point of pressing TAB to indent for it to stick in 3 or 4 spaces. Makes moving code around more painful. All other editors I use, use a proper TAB character (9) as the indent character.

If your mansion house needs haunting, just call Rentaghost!
