In an attempt to deter highjacking the competition thread with wip screenshots, I've created my own spot to show updates and get any crits peps may have.

If you don't know what the Batpod is, it's from Batman: The Dark Knight movie. One of the coolest bikes ever conceived in my opinion. Building this with only primitives is a good challenge and so far I'm enjoying it very much. I hope to finish this in the next couple days.

Thanks, this is fun and I'm still under 10k triangular polygons. Not sure if I'll end up texturing it or not, might just do a single material map for it all.

Small updated. I think I have the wheel spacing correct. Seems you can fit three tires in between the front and back tire from the pictures. Then had to rearrange some of the front pieces to accommodate. Started work on the back section, probably be easiest model towards the center of the bike. I think the hardest part is trying to guess the framework, since I can't find any references of it anywhere. Oh well, fun nonetheless.

Wow I'm stupid, I was about to say "It's good, but I see way to many primitives", and then remembered what this month's competition was about

Lol, lots of polies and primitives...it actually make me queasy. I haven't modeled like this in over 8 years.

Well after studying picture after picture of this bike I think I've finally got it. Not going to put too much detail in, computer started to act strange with over 25k polies on screen. :S Debating whether to texture it or not...

Thanks, was a lot of fun. About 8 hours of modeling time all together.
